SUMMER CONCERT
In the last couple of years there has been a revival of the Summer Concerts which used to be held in the Church of St Mary around Festival time. These have taken the form of Concerts of Music and Words with the music provided by some of the very talented Young Musicians of North Devon and the words by Readers from the Community.
In 2009 the theme was 'Our World', whilst in 2008 it was 'Summer'. They take place on either the Saturday or the Sunday evening of Festival weekend. The Concerts include a wide range of types of music and raise money for THE FRIENDS OF PILTON CHURCH and the Dartington (North Devon) Trust, Young Musicians Support.
This year the concert will be in the evening of Festival Sunday - 18th July - and will again feature the Young Musicians. If you would like to sponsor the concert, please contact the Festival office. Details of the theme, the time and the programme nearer the date.
