GREAT RESPONSE TO DOOR AND GARDEN DECORATION COMPETITION IN 2010
Pilton responded brilliantly to the invitation to the first 'Decorate Your Door' Competition in 2010. Twenty-one entries were received by the closing date on 14th July and the winners and runners up were named on Green Man Day. The winners of the three categories are shown below. The idea of the competition was to let the whole village feel part of the annual celebrations and bring some happiness - and it succeeded very well. The theme of the North Devon Coast was interpreted broadly using images of land, sea, sky, ships, flowers, fish, animals, people and more - including a Green Man.
